Mr & Ms Body Beautiful SA was launched in 2008 by team mother & daughter – Hayley & Lauren-Leigh Porter.  Lauren started competing in Fitness competitions in 2007 and her first year saw her take 1st place in Ms Physique SA and then gave her the opportunity to compete internationally in the Ms Fitness & Ms Bikini America pageant.  “The Fitness industry has given me opportunity to spread my wings and fly – it has added a facet of colour & a burst of energy into my life.  It is truly an experience I would love to share with the world” says Lauren.  As the World of Fitness clearly became a true passion for both Hayley & Lauren the team wanted to add a little more flavour to the circuit hence the birth of a all new pageant… Mr. & Ms Body Beautiful SA.

The show then became affiliated to the Fitness SA & Fitness America Pageant and is now the Gauteng Qualifying show for Mr. & Ms Fitness South Africa.

2008 saw the Launch of the 1st ever show, introducing an all new family category to the industry.  The show brought Rio to Carnival in an explosion of Colour, Life, Fun & Fantasy.  With over 100 of  SA’s top athletes and 1000 spectators – I think it is safe to say – The show was a HUGE Success! 

2009 saw the launch of an all new theme – 60’s fever - & the team intends to “Rock the Top”.  The show is definitely growing... With over 150 athletes and 1500 spectators, Body Beautiful has become a must in every fitness competitors diary. We have a few surprises in store for all of you this year so be sure not to miss the second year of Mr. & Ms Body Beautiful SA. 

It is time for change and a party which is why we have chosen the theme of Electro for Body Beautiful 2010. Brace yourself for an evening of bright colours, illuminated lighting, top DJ’s and the best party in town combined with South Africa’s top physiques – What more could the South African public ask for? 2010 will be making the Big Top Arena a club haven with up beat tunes and an evening of extraordinary flavour!!!
